President Uhuru Kenyatta Ordered that personalities from the press should switch off their gadgets and leave in an event at The Kenya School of Government today.
This comes after the government switched off three major media houses in the country; NTV, KTN and Citizen amid allegations that they were working with The National Super Alliance (NASA) on NASA’s oath day.

President Uhuru Kenyatta was attending the Launching of Service standing orders for The National Police service.

Several people have condemned this act and said that its never been an expecation that the president would utter such words.

-The government has been in cold war with the media for the last few days.

-A case was filed by activist Okiya Omtatah seeking to push for opening the televisions because shutting them is against human rights and media freedom.
