Poetry: Devoid of touch

Poetry: Devoid of touch

Poetry: Devoid of touch

Have you ever craved human touch so badly…

That firm handshake,

That soft shoulder rub,

That tight hug,

That soft kiss,

That light touch,

That it feels as if you’re gravitating in nothingness…

A pitiful blackhole draining you, leaving you lifeless…

It’s brutal,  painstaking,  loneliness…

What are you to do, when you no longer have options…

Every morning you awake, devoid of all emotions…

What then? When your search is futile and you’re trapped in these endless motions…

All I want is to touch and be touched, to feel and be felt…

Is it so bad, to want more cards than you have been dealt?…

I am just trying to describe what so many of us have felt…

Touch, my unspoken truth…

Touch, a flavor of youth…

Touch, I am in desperate need of, for there is no pain, human touch cannot soothe.
