There has been a growing speculation and spread of fake news that a Covid-19 case had been reported in Kisii University.
The institution however, through an internal memo has rubbished the claims terming them cheap propaganda and false news.
“I would like to inform our students, staff and the public in general that there is fake news going around in social media that there is Corona Virus in Kisii University.
Our university has not experienced any case of the virus and those are rumours from evil people who want to cause panic and pandemonium in the university.
The message is fake and should be ignored.”
The country at large has continued to face a growing speculation on Corona Virus whose first case was reported on 13th March 2020.

Among other institutions that have taken a step towards preventing Covid-19 is Africa Nazarene University which suspended its on-campus classes until further notice.
