Kisii University comrades elect delegates to represent them in Executive Council elections| the campus magazine

It has been a busy time in Kisii University as political aspirants and their supporters have been moving from one point of the University to another in their bid to whore more support. The campaigns were however closed on the 28th of October, 2018 in order to allow room for preparation of an election that was conducted yesterday, 29th of October.

The election that conducted yesterday was deemed free and fair as we had no cases of irregularities and rigging. The winners of the elections celebrated while the losers conceded and even took to social media to give congratulatory messages to the victors.

After yesterday’s election, comrades are today expected to again take part in a voting exercise that will determine the people, delegates, who will represent them in the upcoming Executive Council election that will be conducted on Friday.

The Kisii University administration has released some regulations that comrades must adhere to in order to be allowed to vote for this delegates;

  1. Your Respective Polling stations (As earlier communicated) will be open from 6.00am- 12.00pm
  2. Only students who have reported in the ERP ( Again as earlier communicated) for this session will be in the voter register and therefore the only ones allowed to vote.
  3. You will require your student ID to vote so you are advised to carry it. If you do not have it yet, Kindly carry your admission letter and National ID for the same verification.
  4. You are encouraged to quickly finish your process & exit the Polling station to allow other students a chance to also vote except for the officially cleared agents who will be representing their respective candidates.

We congratulate everyone who took part in yesterday’s voting and applaud the winners for their victory.
